NEXT SYMPOSIUM IN SERIES HELD @BTEC, USA

21.12.2018

NextBioPharmDSP project team is organizing 3rd in a series symposium on next generation downstream processing. Event will be held on 16th January 2019 at Golden LEAF Biomanufacturing Training & Education Center, 850 Oval Drive, Raleigh, NC 27606 (see attached flyer). You can join and learn more about nextBioPharmDSP project:

  • Implementation of a fully integrated manufacturing platform based on continuous downstream approaches
  • Learn on single-use disposable techniques for all unit operations of DSP sequence for mAbs at pilot or small production scale
  • Incorporation of advanced analytical tools into your process

Similar symposium was successfully held on 4th September 2018 at Centre for Process Innovations (CPI), National Biologics Manufacturing Centre at Darlington, UK.

The topics presented were:

  • Next generation strategies for manufacturing of biologics (Gorazd Hribar)
  • Utilization of flocculants for primary separation (Josselyn Haas)
  • Continuous chromatography for capture step and development of novel disposable equipment (Barbara Jeras)
  • Alternative batch Protein A chromatography, process modelling and alternative scenarios developments (Simon Caserman)
  • Continuous precipitation and precipitate harvest (Peter Satzer)
  • In-line virus inactivation (Josselyn Haas)
  • Process Analytical Technology in DSP (Dejan Arzensek)
  • In-line particle detection and IgG sensors (Simon Caserman)
  • Flow through approaches in DSP (Helena Trnovec)
  • Single pass TFF as continuous product concentration approach (Torsten Bisschop)
  • Large scale connected and continuous setup for mAb manufacturing (Gorazd Hribar)
